Updating and innovation: For over 8 years, Refractive.on-line has been the forum where the latest, most advanced technologies developed by scientific research are presented

This year, the Refractive.on-line format is organized as a series of training courses focusing on the latest issues in refractive and lens surgery:

• Premium IOLs 
• Femtosecond laser 
• Customized prolate ablation
• Advanced biometrics and biometrics for difficult cases
• Cross-linking

Each course features presentations by different speakers, coordinated by international experts, resulting in lively discussion and debate of the topics at hand. The aim is to deliver an interactive course, promoting dialogue between experts and participants.
For this year’s ROL meeting we have formed an international scientific committee responsible for supervising the quality of the submitted papers  and selecting only the most deserving. 
The ultimate objective is for participants to leave the meeting with in-depth knowledge of the new technologies, adequate information to evaluate their usefulness, and the ability to choose which method to apply in their everyday practice.
The project’s major strength has been and will continue to be the fact that all course contents are available online at any time. We believe that this service is very much appreciated, particularly by professionals in developing countries, with fewer resources to attend international meetings.
